“I went through a divorce in 2001. It was a very difficult time for me. A year or so after the divorce, I met my current wife who I can honestly say saved my life. We’ve been together for about 17 years. For a number of years, after the divorce, I didn’t compose anything new. Finally, a few years ago, inspired by my better-half, I composed “Body & Soul”. An open window, a clear night, an evening breeze with the sound of the ocean in the background. I did my best to capture those moments for my love.
P.S. I plan to “re-do” this release of “Body & Soul” and slow it down a bit (the tempo is “too” fast).

Lyrics
There on the evening breeze we set the sun in exchange for a thousand stars
With one simple wave, we spread the light throughout the universe tonight
Sing a song for me that lets me know, you’ll be here ’till my time to go
Don’t give up my love she tells me so, young or old we all still dream, just to to sleep
Have you ever loved a woman so honestly
Both joy and fear they fill you up inside
Despite your hope you know that precious time must end
Pressed against her both body and soul
Deep in the dark of night she stirs I wake and closely hold her in my arms
Soundly she sleeps, I whisper in her ear
Does she hear me I can’t tell; it’s just as well
Sing I will for you, but not just one, every melody I make
Every breath I take it’s all because, from despair you rescued me, and let me dream
Have you ever loved a woman so honestly
With every breath you feel her body rise
No need to stow or hide away you hopes and fears
Pressed against her both body and soul
Have you ever loved a woman so honestly, both joy and fear they fill you up inside
Despite your hope you know that precious time must end
Pressed against her both body and soul
