I had this “jazz” sounding instrumental that had this melodic “bounce” to it; like jumping. Hence the name “Jump”. Just meant to be upbeat. The equipment I have is dated. The newest from about 1999. In-short, the synthesized sound patches I have are likely two or three decades old. Instead of ignoring and/or discarding them, I decided to have some fun with them and incorporate those sounds into this recording. I went one step further and made my “first” video using my antiquated computer which had an old version of Windows along with “Movie Maker”. Yes, the video “Jump” was edited using Windows Movie Maker. I have a much newer computer now and a significantly improved Video editing program. “Jump” was one of the first songs created for the Cruise-On album. Like many of the other tracks on this album, I used a multi-track computer recording program to individually record each instrument using my Roland FP-3 midi keyboard (the keyboard you see in the “Jump” video). Hope you enjoy it 🙂
